Both of those consoles are fairly recent in today’s day and age. The Wii was initially free in 2006. With age comes the threat of online services being finished off. In a sense, the Wii store has lost tons of practicality since 2019, as sales have stopped for the shop.

However, Nintendo still let users transfer previously bought games. Although they'd continuously planned to finish off services entirely for some purpose, this recent flip of events came out of obscurity.

The original news came from user Trash_Bandicoot, who stated,

Around 10:00 pm CST, with no previous announcement, each of the DSi Look and Wii Look channels were quietly forced offline.

It’s been over 3 days since the first post, and the drawback has not been resolved as of yet. What's extremely strange in this case is that Nintendo looks to be pointing out that every service is up and running as it should be.

A Youtube video from GameXplain additionally recently covered the matter, but Nintendo has remained silent despite the coverage.

As seen within the video, making an attempt to access the eShop results in a blank screen that eventually throws a slip code.

An identical error additionally shows up on the DSi hand-held. Whereas it's for the most part unclear whether or not this outage is a slip from Nintendo or a concealed termination of services, fans are involved regarding the shortage of communication from Nintendo’s end.

While this might be a slip from Nintendo’s aspect, no one is actually positive for now. If servers have been finished off, this may mean that Nintendo didn't inform their customers beforehand, as they'd already been secured. For now, users are left in the dark with no choice but to wait for a political candidate statement from Nintendo.
